Adidas Metalbone Woman Lite review

Our verdict and review for the Adidas Metalbone Woman Lite after testing the racket is that it is an awesome racket for the offensive player who is at a Beginner – Advance level. This racket also has an oversized diamond shape which gives you more additional offensive qualities.

Adidas’s new padel rackets are not only really aesthetically pleasing, they also have a really good quality. The price level is neither the lowest nor the highest compared to competitors.

Our opinion after testing the Adidas Metalbone Woman Lite:

The Adidas Metalbone Lite is the easier to play racket in the Metalbone series. When I tested this model, I found that despite the diamond shape and top-heavy balance, it was very easy to get right to the ball. Thanks to the fiberglass surface of the racket, you don't have to hit the ball very hard yourself, but the fiberglass helps to generate it. A very nice and easy to play diamond shaped racket in my opinion.

Material

The material of the Metalbone Woman Lite is made of carbon fibre on the frame and with the octagonal structure technology on the top of the racket and above its handle. The hitting surface, on the other hand, is a bit softer with the flexible fiberglass material and the core is also soft with Eva Soft Performance.

The balance

This diamond-shaped model has a high balance point, so the racket provides the player with proper support during offensive play. Which gives even more possibilities as you can say that the balance point interacts with the slightly wider sweetspot, which is also placed high up on the racket.

Racket shape

The diamond shape has been made slightly larger than many other diamond shapes, to give the racket a wider sweetspot and thus provide more support for full shots.

Hard or soft?

The racket’s frame and the area just above the handle have been reinforced with Octagonal Structure, making this model more of the hard character. Although, the hitting surface is a bit softer with the fiberglass material.

What level of player is the Adidas Metalbone Woman Lite suitable for?

The characteristics of the racket and the combination of the hard with some softer details make it best suited for those players who have had time to work up a lot of skills and have come a long way with different techniques in the game. These players can be at the beginner level, who are climbing up their experience level, and can also be the players at more advanced level.

Is the racket best suited for offensive or defensive play?

With the powerful features that the Metalbone Woman Lite has been equipped with, it is best suited for offensive play. The high balance, resilient frame and the ridged surface give the player more guarantee to act more aggressively on the court. It provides a lot of help for those players who like to stress the opponent in front of the net. To surprise them with proper smashes and to spin the ball for them.

Benefits of Adidas Metalbone Woman Lite

This model should be easy to play with, for various reasons. Its lightweight makes it feel lighter to the player when it is swung in the air. In addition, the player gets a lot of support from the racket’s features of the balance point placement, diamond shape and a wider sweetspot.

It provides more opportunities for the player to be able to create balls with proper power and to be able to get good power when the player wants to smash or spin the ball. The soft core and low weight of the racket gives the player some help when there is an opportunity for the looser strokes.

Disadvantages

You don’t get much help when a more defensive game is required, as most of the characteristics are strengths for offensive play. What does cover up a bit for the player is the racket’s low weight and that soft core.
