Dopadel Aquarius

Our verdict and review for the DoPadel Aquarius after testing the racket is that it is an awesome racket for the defensive player who is at a Beginner – Advance level. This racket also has a Hybrid/drop shape which gives you more additional offensive qualities.

DoPadel’s new padel rackets are not only really aesthetically pleasing, they also have a really good quality. The price level is neither the lowest nor the highest compared to competitors.

Our opinion after testing the DoPadel Aquarius:

Aquarius is one of the new additions for 2022 and is designed to be a rack aimed at the more advanced player looking for the ultimate mix of speed and control. The slightly harder core and two different types of carbon fibre hitting surface mean that the racket extracts a good amount of speed. Are you confident in your ball striking, playing at a slightly higher level and looking for a racket that can both aid your defensive game but also have the strength to decide the score? Then you have definitely found the right racket in Aquarius!

Material

The DoPadel Aquarius has been made more flexible for use during the game, by providing the racket with both 3K carbon fibre and 12K carbon fibre. This choice was made to give players advantages in both playing modes. The hard core Eva Foam Hard can provide great support to get powerful balls off.

Combined with the rubber surface, it is also possible to succeed in getting balls away with both good control and good strength. This racket is also more ergonomic thanks to the rubber surface and the carbon fibre and fibreglass frame. These features minimise vibrations for the player, so they experience less strain on muscles and joints.

The balance

The racket’s balance point is located in the middle level and together with its racket shape, the player can gain advantages in both playing styles. Although some players who prefer an offensive style of play want a high balance point, a higher level player can do well with smashes and spinning to the ball. As strength is also gained from a hard core and hitting surface.

Racket shape

The DoPadel Aquarius is drop-shaped, so there is a larger sweep spot while helping to power the player in an offensive style of play. It also prevents the frame from becoming too stiff, which also helps minimize the risk of strain injuries like tennis elbow.

Hard or soft?

This racket model is a hard package with both 3K and 12K carbon fiber in the hitting surface as well as a hard Eva core and a drop-shaped frame. The mid-level balance point favours both playing styles, but combined with the hard characteristics, the racket becomes more of a hard racket.

What level of player is DoPadel Aquarius suitable for

What level of player is the DoPadel Aquarius suitable for?

The players who choose this padel racket should have good experience in the game and strength in their muscles, as it is a hard racket. Players at higher levels will be able to make full use of this racket, but can also be a good option for those players at an intermediate level who want to develop their padel game.

Is the racket best suited for offensive or defensive play?

This powerful padel racket is designed to provide multiple strengths for players who enjoy offensive play. Like the hard Eva core and the hitting surface in both 3K and 12K carbon fiber. At the same time, there are slightly softer features in the racket to make it suitable for lower level players as well. The medium balance, drop shape and a frame in both carbon fiber and fiberglass give advantages in both playing styles.

Information about the DoPadel brand

Information about the DoPadel brand

The company DoPadel was founded in 2021 and this brand is known for its handmade racket models of good quality. The racket models have a Scandinavian design, but manufacturing takes place in a well-known Spanish factory. Their goal is to create rackets of good quality, while they should not have to be so expensive.

All models of DoPadel have two unique features. One is the way the holes are drilled on the hitting surface. Excluding the holes in the middle creates more control for the player as the hitting surface is not softer in the middle. This has also allowed some players to experience a larger sweet spot on the racket.

The other unique feature is the rubber surface that all rackets have also been fitted with. The rubber surface ensures that the balls never make direct contact with the carbon fibre surface, thus minimising vibration from the ball hits. It also helps to create a better grip on the ball and to make it easier for the player to fool his opponents by creating a spin on the balls.

Benefits of DoPadel Aquarius

This racket has several advantages for the offensive game on the padel court. The Eva Foam Hard core and the hitting surface that has a combination of 3K and 12K carbon fiber can give players who like offensive play several advantages. These features combined with the rubber surface and the drop-shaped frame can give the player good strength unfair control in the balls.

The racket shape and rubber surface also make the racket more ergonomic for the player. These features minimize vibrations from the ball hits, so it is softer for the player to handle during the game.

The holes on the hitting surface are drilled in a unique way, which creates more control in the game. As there are no holes in the middle of the hitting surface, the same response is given over the entire hitting surface. This also allows the player to feel that the sweet spot of the racket is larger.

Disadvantages

Players at lower levels or those who have not trained up good muscle strength may have problems using this racket. It may also be too hard for those who prefer defensive play, although it may help in some situations.
