DoPadel Taurus review

Our verdict and review for the DoPadel Taurus after testing the racket is that it is an awesome racket for the defensive player who is at a Beginner – Advance level. This racket also has a Hybrid/drop shape which gives you more additional offensive qualities.

DoPadel’s new padel rackets are not only really aesthetically pleasing, they also have a really good quality. The price level is neither the lowest nor the highest compared to competitors.

Our opinion after testing the DoPadel Taurus:

When I tried this model, I felt that the feel of the racket was quite similar to the Aries model but that this racket was a bit more offensive oriented and extracted a bit more speed thanks to the 12k carbon fiber hitting surface. This is a model that I would recommend to an intermediate player who is looking for a good all-round rack that generates a lot of speed and that has its strengths in the overhead game.

Material

The fiberglass and carbon fiber frame makes the racket more durable, but not too stiff to play with. More toughness is provided by the 12K carbon fiber hitting surface and the RQ5 black core, which is laminated in five layers. These layers create a combination of both speed and great feel for the player.

The rubber surface of the racket helps the player to achieve controlled balls with good speed, while the surface minimizes vibrations from the ball hits. With less vibration, the racket is easier to handle for the player, as it does not put a lot of strain on their muscles and joints.

The balance

The DoPadel Taurus has its balance point at the medium level, which can provide good benefits in both modes of play and can also help to create good balance. Combined with the hybrid shape, it will also be easier to use in different game modes on the court and by lower level players who want to get further in their offensive game.

Racket shape

The racket shape is a hybrid between a round and a drop shape. The round characteristics provide a slightly larger sweet spot and the drop shape provides the player with good support when he wants to hit the ball with both speed and good control.

Hard or soft?

This racket model has several characteristics for being a hard package. The hitting surface is slightly harder with 12K carbon fiber, combined with the drop shape and a five-ply laminated core. All these features are there to provide more hardness, speed and good control for the player. The mid-level balance point can be for both soft and hard packages.

What level of player is the DoPadel Taurus suitable for?

This hard padel racket is best suited for intermediate level players who feel they need a more advanced racket to advance their padel game. However, they should have good experience and strength to get good benefit from the racket and not to strain their muscles and joints.

Information about the DoPadel brand

Founded in 2021, DoPadel is best known for its handmade padel rackets with a Scandinavian design. However, the production takes place in one of the well-known factories in Spain. DoPadel puts high quality high on the list and also has some unique features that provide great support to the players.

A unique feature of their handmade rackets is the rubber surface that minimizes vibrations when hitting balls, by not allowing the balls to make direct contact with the hard carbon fiber surface when hitting. Another advantage of this rubber surface is that it provides a better grip on the ball, which is an advantage when the player wants to give the balls a spin, among other things.

Another unique feature of all DoPadel rackets is the way they have drilled the holes on the racket. By not drilling holes in the middle of the racket, the balls bounce more evenly. This means that it does not get softer in the middle, which also means that the sweet spot of the racket can be perceived as larger.

Benefits of DoPadel Taurus

Players who prefer an offensive style of play can gain several advantages from playing with the DoPadel Taurus. The frame is reinforced with carbon fiber, but not too hard to handle as there is also fiberglass in the frame.

The rubber surface ensures that the strain on the player’s muscles and joints is not so great, while also providing better grip for the balls and for successfully firing away balls with sly spin.

A mid-level balance point, the hybrid shape between round and drop shape and the way the holes are drilled on the hitting surface make for a more controlled game. These features can provide the player with more power in both offensive and defensive play. Together with the rest of the features, it particularly strengthens the offensive game.

Disadvantages

The DoPadel Taurus offers several advantages to strengthen an offensive game, but some players at a more advanced level of play may wish for a harder racket and with a higher balance point. To be able to play more aggressively on the court, like succeeding with more powerful smashes.

This hard racket can help lower level players to advance their game, but it is good if the player has accumulated good experience and strength to handle this racket in the best way.
