Our verdict and review for the DoPadel Aries after testing the racket is that it is an awesome racket for the defensive player who is at a Beginner – Advance level. This racket also has a Hybrid/drop shape which gives you more additional offensive qualities.
DoPadel’s new padel rackets are not only really aesthetically pleasing, they also have a really good quality. The price level is neither the lowest nor the highest compared to competitors.

Our opinion after testing the DoPadel Aries:
This model also has a new look from last year, otherwise the racket is the same. I found this model to have strengths both defensively and offensively. The drop shape as well as the multi-layered core that then adjusts to the speed of the game made the racket deliver good control in the defensive game but also a good speed in the offensive game. I would have recommended this racket to an intermediate player or a more advanced player looking for a racket with a softer feel with a lot of control.

DoPadel Aries characteristics
Below we review the DoPadel Aries and the racket’s features. In addition to the features, the racket is aesthetically beautiful with fine lines and nice coloring.
Rackets specifications | |
Brand | DoPadel |
Shape | Hybrid/drop shape |
Balance | Medium |
Game type | All-round/defensive |
Game Level | Beginner – Advance |
Weight | 350 – 365 g |
Material
The frame of the racket is made of carbon fibre to make it more resistant, but also of fibreglass to make the racket softer to play with. Both the fibreglass in the frame and the rubber surface over the racket minimise vibrations from the ball hits, making the racket more ergonomic to play with.
A softer Eva core that is laminated five times together with a soft carbon fibre hitting surface provides good benefits for the player who likes to play defensively on the padel court.
The materials chosen for this racket model make it suitable for players of various levels. It will be easier to swing in the air and it will not create as many vibrations for the player. Thus, it can also be suitable for beginners who want to get a little further in their offensive game.
The balance
The balance point has been placed at medium level to provide the player with assistance in both game modes. In this way, the player can benefit from the racket in several situations in the game, whether it is a player at a lower or higher level. Combined with a larger sweetspot, it also makes it easier for the player to hit full shots with both speed and control.
Racket shape
The DoPadel Aries has a hybrid/drop racket shape, which provides a combination of a larger sweetspot and a bit more stiffness. This gives the player a good combination of being able to hit controlled shots more easily and at the same time get more speed out of the balls.
Hard or soft?
Although this racket model has been created as an all-round racket, it is more of a soft racket. A softer core and hitting surface, along with a medium balance and a hybrid racket shape. A racket that will provide more advantages in a defensive game and will also be softer for the player to handle during play.
What level of player is the DoPadel Aries suitable for?
As it is a softer racket that is easier to handle, it may also be suitable for players at lower levels of play. The racket is easier to swing and you can succeed with ball hits of both good speed and control.
It may be suitable for intermediate level players who need a racket with better characteristics to develop their offensive game. But it can also be of good benefit to players at a more advanced level, who prefer to play a more defensive game.
Is the racket best suited for offensive or defensive play?
Taking into account the soft characteristics of the racket, such as soft core and hitting surface, as well as medium balance and a hybrid/drop shape, the player will benefit more from the racket in a defensive style of play. Although it can be of good use in offensive situations during the game, the racket is more suited to a defensive game.
Information about the DoPadel brand
In 2021, the DoPadel brand was founded with its handmade padel rackets of Scandinavian design. These rackets are manufactured in one of the well-known factories in Spain and the models are also visible in the Spanish market.
DoPadel is known for its quality handmade rackets, but also because they all have unique features. The rubber surface that all models have minimizes vibrations from ball hits and also helps to get a good grip on the ball, which is beneficial for spinning to the balls.
All of their rackets also have unique ways with how the holes on the racket have been placed. By excluding holes in the middle, they create an even response on the racket’s hitting surface. This makes it easier for the player to practice full shots on a larger area of the racquet, creating a feeling of a larger sweet spot.
