Our verdict and review for the Varlion Canon Difusor Carbon Black after testing the racket is that you can easily generate power and speed with the medium hard core and top heavy balance. Another strong advantage is the racket’s extended grip, which is particularly well suited to two-handed backhands.
Varlion’s new padel rackets are not only really aesthetically pleasing, they also have a really good quality. The price level is neither the lowest nor the highest compared to competitors.

Our opinion after testing the Varlion Canon Difusor Carbon Black 2022:
I found the Canon Difusor Carbon Black to be the most offensive racket in the series, and you can tell pretty quickly thanks to the top-heavy balance. The racket extracts really good speed in the game above the head and I also felt that you have good precision in the game and the grooved surface helps to generate good spin in the ball. A rack that I would recommend to the slightly more advanced player with an attacking style of play.

Information about the Varlion brand
Varlion’s first racket was developed in 1995 and this model was very simplified. But it wasn’t long after they had started to enter the Spanish market that they moved their factory to Spain. After that, their rackets started to be equipped with various peculiar features.
Some of their unique features are the models that have a frame with so-called lace. In other words, the width narrows down and at the end the frame has a width of only a few millimeters.
In addition, Varlion is unique with its holes. Some models have been given different sizes of their round holes, while others have the outer holes in a rectangular shape to let more air through when the racket is swung.

Advantages of Varlion Canon Difusor Carbon Black 2022
The advantages are many for those who like to play offensive games. The diamond shape, high balance, hard frame and medium hard core provide good power in the game. A longer handle makes it easier for the player to use a two-handed grip and the way the holes have been designed makes the model’s sweet spot bigger, as the holes at the end have been enlarged and moved further out towards the frame.
- Offensive racket that suits those who want to decide the balls with power
- Longer handle is good for two-handed backhand grip
- Relatively large sweetspot despite diamond shape
Disadvantages
This racket model is best suited to an offensive game, so it may take a lot of practice to succeed with the racket in an offensive game. For example, when you need to pick up balls that are almost at ground level.
- Diamond shaped racket has a smaller sweetspot further up the racket and tends to be more difficult to play
- The combination of diamond shape and medium hard core means that we do not recommend the racket for beginners
