Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma W 2022 characteristics
Below we review the Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma W 2022 and the racket’s features. In addition to the features, the racket is aesthetically beautiful with fine lines and nice coloring.
|Shape||Hybrid between drop och diamond|
A 100% carbon fibre frame, a 12K carbon fibre hitting surface and a Hard Core core make this racket extra strong in the offensive game. It is also more durable, as the frame has been fitted with the Prisma Bumper protection.
The balance is lower on this model, so it provides good support for the low or slow balls. In other words, in the more defensive game.
The racket shape is a hybrid between round and drop shape, which gives a larger sweetspot to this racket. So this model gives the player better control, while the hard characteristics can provide more power and speed in the strokes.
Hard or soft?
There are several characteristics that indicate that it is a hard package. A 100% carbon fiber frame, 12K carbon fiber hitting surface and a hard core give the game more power and speed. On the other hand, the hybrid shape of round and drop, and a lower balance makes it a bit softer. It’s an all-round racket with characteristics that provide advantages in different types of play.
What level of player is the Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma W 2022 suitable for?
With the hard characteristics, it is best if the player has more experience on the padel court. Has worked up different techniques and control in the game and has the strength to handle the hard properties. It can also be good for those who want to rise in the ranks of their game. The racket shape and low balance point gives more balance and control to the player.
Is the racket best suited for offensive or defensive play?
An all-round racket that offers several advantages, both for offensive and defensive play. With a tough and durable all carbon fibre frame combined with a 12K carbon fibre hitting surface and a hard core, it helps you to get the balls away with proper power and speed.
On the other hand, the low balance can make it more challenging for players to hit successful smashes unless they have worked up good technique and have good base strength. However, a larger sweetspot and a lower balance point provide more balance and better control in the strokes.
Information about the Varlion brand
Varlion started in Argentina, with their first finished racket in 1995, but they moved their production to Spain shortly after their sales started in Spain. At that time, they also started to develop more complex features for their rackets.
Some of their special features you can see on their latest models are the technique of the placement of the holes and that the outer holes are bigger than the inner holes. This technique gives a bigger sweetspot and more balance in the racket.
Varlion is also launching several models that have a longer handle, to facilitate players who like two-handed grips, and a longer hitting surface that also facilitates a larger sweetspot and more good hits during play.

Benefits of Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma W 2022
Larger sweetspot, thanks to the racket shape and the way the holes are placed on the hitting surface, gives more control and more chances to hit with both control and power. The hitting surface has more holes and the outer holes are placed closer to the frame, so there is a bigger sweetspot and more balance in the racket.
The frame is protected with Prisma Bumper and the outside of the frame is shaped like a prism because tests have shown that this provides 10% less air resistance. In other words, the racket is easier to swing in the air and therefore puts less strain on the player.
May require more strength in the player’s muscles and joints, to be able to use this racket fully in offensive play, among other things for the low balance point. And to get the full benefits of this racket, use it in an environment where the temperature does not exceed 25 degrees.
Our review for Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma W 2022
Mikael Rohana from Elitepadel has tested the Varlion Maxim Summum Prisma W 2022 and gives the following review and rating:
“The Varlion Maxima Summum Prisma 2022 is the sequel to last year’s bestseller of the same name. The shape of the racket is a combination of a round/drop shaped rack and is then aimed at the more offensive oriented player. I found when testing the Varlion maxima Summum Prisma 2022, in addition to the great design, that the racket also delivered very well in the game overall. Thanks to the racket’s offensive qualities, it is mainly suited to the slightly more offensive player. A slightly longer handle, a slightly longer hitting surface and a patterned hitting surface that should generate more grip and spin in the ball are just some of the racket’s features. My verdict is that it is a fantastic racket with a really great hitting feel!“.
