The balance

The balance point is placed low, so it creates more balance and control for the player.

Racket shape

The round racket shape that this racket has been given also provides a larger sweetspot, and together creates more good chances to get full hits on the racket.

Hard or soft?

This all-purpose racket has both soft and hard characteristics. The 100% carbon fiber frame, 12K carbon fiber hitting surface and medium hard core create more stiffness to the racket making it a hard racket. On the other hand, the round racket shape and low balance make it a softer racket, and more advantages for defensive play. At the same time, it requires extra strength from the player in order to create proper speed in the balls and this can be difficult to handle at the high balls.

What level of player is the Fila the bellator suitable for

What level of player is the Fila the bellator suitable for?

This racket can provide good benefits to players of different levels, but with the rigid nature of the hitting surface and core, it is good if the player has gained more experience in the sport. As extra power may be needed from the player to create proper speed in the balls.

Is the racket best suited for offensive or defensive play?

It is an all-round racket with more advantages for a defensive game. The round racket shape, larger sweetspot and low balance are clear advantages for the defensive game. Although there are hard characteristics from the carbon reinforced frame, the 12K carbon fiber hitting surface and a medium hard core, in some positions on the padel court it may not be strong enough for an offensive game. More demands are placed on the player’s strength to create power and speed in the high balls.

Benefits of Fila the bellator

The round racket shape provides a larger sweet spot, which gives more chances for really good hits on the balls. The low balance point creates better balance and makes it easier to handle for those who don’t have much experience in the game.

The racket has been made more durable with 100% carbon fibre and combined with the hard hitting surface and medium hard core, it can create ball hits with real power.

Disadvantages

Not a good racket for beginners, as the stiff characteristics make it more difficult to handle. Especially when combined with the low balance. It can be challenging to create proper power and speed in the balls, as it has a medium-hard core and the balance point is low.
